Tomahawk Lacrosse

Belizean hardwood lacrosse shafts

Tomahawk Lacrosse creates handmade lacrosse shafts made from the best woods available straight from Belize.  Every shaft we sell has been given individual care from machine cutting and shaping to finishing touches by hand.  The result: a quality made exotic hardwood lacrosse shaft. See the Construction Process for details.

THE STORY

It all started in 2011 when I made my first stick during my sophomore year at the beginning of the lacrosse season. During practice, my aluminum shaft broke and I had a game the next day, so I made a cheap oak shaft that night. My team thought it was awesome, so I improved my initial design and sold them to the rest of my team. They were a huge success!

Ever since 10th grade I have built more shafts than I can count, experimenting with many different species of wood, testing them both through computer simulations analysis and real life experimentation.  I have personally used my shafts on the lacrosse field throughout my high school career as well as on the fields at Johns Hopkins University for intramural and pick-up games.

I’ve been a Mechanical Engineer since 2017 and have worked at a startup in the Boston area for most of it. I hope to expand the product line someday and create comprehensive wood testing and prototype some interesting lacrosse shaft design ideas I’ve had, but in the meantime my engineering career will keep those mechanically inclined skills sharp…

From one lax player to another, I can assure you that if you buy a shaft from me, you definitely won't regret it.

RETURNS / 30 DAY SHAFT REPLACEMENT POLICY

Tomahawk Lacrosse offers a 30 day shaft replacement for broken shafts.

Tomahawk Lacrosse shafts are built tough for the sport of lacrosse, but wood always runs the risk of having defects undetectable beneath the surface.

In the event that the shaft breaks, the buyer must send pictures clearly showing the break point and the whole shaft. Damage to the shafts are only covered for lacrosse related damage (checks, etc). Breaking the shaft by hitting goal posts in anger or any other off-the-field damage is not covered.

If the order is refunded instead of shaft replacement, the refund will cover the total order minus the shipping costs. For shaft replacement, Tomahawk Lacrosse will pay the shipping fees to send you the replacement shaft. Maximum of one shaft replacement per ordered shaft.

All custom engraving orders that were already processed (shaft engraved already) are not eligible for returns since the custom engraving makes the shaft no longer available for resale.
However, the replacement policy still applies as usual.

No replacement policy for orders outside the US.

Refunds allowed if buyer covers shipping costs and shows the previously mentioned pictures of the broken shaft within the 30 day period after receiving the shaft.
